My name is Sam Levin. I am a 15-year-old high school sophomore and I am a triplet! I have a sister Lexi and a brother Jake and two golden doodles Elvis and Kubota. My parents, Brian and Allison, are really fortunate to have us. When we were born my siblings and I surprised everyone by arriving eight weeks early. And I had another big surprise – I was born with Down syndrome. There have been a few struggles along the way, like my heart surgery at 7-months-old and a feeding tube for the first three years of my life. There have been other challenges too, but what family doesn’t have them? Since then, I have been thriving and loving life! I am one fun-loving teenager who loves to be the center of attention and the life of the party. I am always quick to make you laugh with a joke or a smooth one-liner. And if you have ever seen me on the dance floor, you know I can bust a move! Some say you might even see me on “Dancing With The Stars.” My friends and I go to Cherry Creek High School. During the year, I love going to school dances and playing on the unified basketball team. Summer is my favorite time of year because I go to camp in California with my friends for a whole month! Recently I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, but I know that the Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s scientists are working to help me! My family and I hope you will support Global’s amazing life-changing science and medical care. I am very lucky to have been in the fashion show before – once with Matt Dillon. Of course I rocked the runway. I’m proud to be an Ambassador for the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show and support the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, because I want to help people. I’m excited about my future. I want to work and travel and hope to drive one day so I can take my girlfriend out for dates!
