Born in New York City and raised in Massachusetts, Rachel Platten is an Emmy Award winner, Author, and multi-platinum selling recording artist. Few artists in the past decade have struck a chord of hope and resilience like Rachel did with her empowering hit, “Fight Song.” Listeners instantly adopted the transformative anthem as their own, linking fans’ tales of empowerment across the globe.

Rachel topped countless radio and iTunes charts worldwide, with her major label debut album, “Wildfire,” which also included the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Stand By You.” In 2017, Rachel released her second full-length album called “Waves.” Co-writing every song, and working with stellar songwriters and producers including Ryan Tedder, Stargate, Jason Evigan and Ian Kirkpatrick. Songs range from the shimmering unshackling of “Broken Glass,” to the sultry, infectious “Shivers.” More intimate songs such as “Collide,” the piano-tinged “Hands” and the albums moving closer “Grace” reflect the unguarded side of the talented singer songwriter.

Earlier this year, Rachel authored her first children’s book titled, “You Belong,” based on her 2018 song of the same name. Both the book and the song “You Belong,” tell a warm and loving message of welcome to newborn babies that will touch the hearts of everyone. This fall, Rachel released her new single, “Soldiers,” which is currently featured in a new CBS Fall Season Digital and Broadcast Campaign.

Charity plays an important part in Rachel’s life, and she is a proud supporter of those who are differently-abled, including those with Down syndrome. Rachel supports several organizations that support individuals with mental and physical challenges. She is a member of “Musicians on Call,” a group that brings live music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
