Kevin Iannucci was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has quickly distinguished himself as one of today’s most sought-after young talents with Down syndrome, with an impressive body of work that has earned him a reputation as a favorite among prestigious directors.
Kevin began his acting journey at the age of seven when his older siblings cast him as the lead in several short films. From a young age, his dream was to appear on television and in movies. That dream became a reality when he was cast as Larry Ellis in The Best of Enemies (2019), working alongside director Robin Bissell and stars such as Sam Rockwell, Taraji P. Henson, and Anne Heche.
Since then, Kevin has continued to build a strong career, landing the role of Patrick in Embattled (2020) and the role of Johnny in Champions (2023). In Champions, he starred alongside Woody Harrelson, Kaitlin Olson, and director Bobby Farrelly, proving to himself and others that he could successfully carry a major role. Kevin was also cast as a series regular in the NBC pilot Adam and Eva, which, while not picked up, provided another valuable experience in his growing career. He is currently preparing for an independent TV series titled R&R with rising filmmaker JJ Herz and is excited about the upcoming production of Champions 2.
Outside of acting, Kevin enjoys playing video games, ballroom dancing, managing his social media presence, spending time with friends and family, and competing in Special Olympics sports. He serves as a Special Olympics North Carolina Global Messenger and has delivered powerful speeches about inclusion and his experiences as an actor with Down syndrome.
Kevin also works part-time at 321 Coffee, a local coffee shop that employs individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He takes pride in the shop’s mission to elevate others through inclusion and enjoys socializing with both his coworkers and the customers he serves.
Kevin remains dedicated to his craft and is constantly honing his skills as an actor. His ultimate dream role? To star in a horror film. With Champions 2 on the horizon, Kevin is excited for the next chapter in his already remarkable journey.
In addition to his artistic and community endeavors, Kevin is proud to work with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, where he advocates for inclusion in the entertainment industry and beyond. Through this collaboration, he continues to use his platform to break barriers, raise awareness, and inspire others with his talent, drive, and authenticity. Kevin is thrilled to receive the 2025 Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award.
