Kennedy Garcia is an actress, model, public speaker and disability advocate known for breaking barriers for people with Down syndrome in the entertainment industry. She joined the cast of the long-running daytime drama Days of Our Lives in 2023 in the recurring role of Felicity Greene, making her on-screen debut on May 22, 2024. Now in her third year with the series, Kennedy made history as the first person with Down syndrome to have a recurring role on American daytime television.
Kennedy began her career in modeling and was discovered by American Girl, becoming the first model with Down syndrome to work for the iconic brand. That opportunity launched a career that has included campaigns and commercial work for brands including Justice, Claire’s, Disney, Instagram and McDonald’s, where she appeared in the company’s 2023 Super Bowl campaign featuring Cardi B.
Her acting credits span television and film and include 9-1-1, Sesame Street, Brownies, The Executor, Ghost Boy and Saving Buddy Charles. In Brownies, Kennedy portrayed Sasha in the award-winning short film, which was selected for the 2024 Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase. She has also been featured on Anthony Padilla’s popular YouTube series I Spent a Day With.
Beyond acting, Kennedy is a passionate advocate for inclusion and authentic disability representation. She serves as an ambassador for Best Buddies International and Breaking the Chains Foundation and uses her platform to promote friendship, inclusion, self-confidence and greater opportunities for people with disabilities. As a sought-after public speaker, Kennedy has spoken at more than 100 middle schools, high schools and colleges nationwide, as well as organizations and events across the country, sharing her experiences growing up with Down syndrome and encouraging others to look beyond disability and recognize the value of genuine friendship and inclusion.
A childhood cancer survivor, Kennedy also supports organizations serving children and families facing cancer and other serious medical challenges. Her own experiences have helped shape her commitment to giving back and using her growing platform to help create a more inclusive world.
Whether she is working on a television set, walking a runway, speaking to an audience or advocating in her community, Kennedy hopes her career helps expand perceptions of what people with disabilities can accomplish and creates more opportunities for the performers who come after her. When she isn’t working, she enjoys dancing, making TikTok videos, going to the beach and spending time with her friends and family.
