Award-winning television and film actor Eric Dane has been a fan-favorite since his television roles in the 2000s. Dane is best known for his role as the hunky “Dr. Mark ‘McSteamy’ Sloan” in ABC’s critically-acclaimed, Golden Globe-award-winning, and Emmy-nominated tv series Grey’s Anatomy. Dane appeared in 138 episodes of the show. Along with his costars, Dane won the Satellite Award for Best Cast and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Currently, Dane can be seen in the HBO drama series Euphoria starring as “Cal Jacobs” alongside award-winning actress Zendaya.

Dane’s other notable TV credits include playing Jason Dean in the fantasy drama series Charmed, and Captain Tom Chandler in five seasons of TNT’s series The Last Ship.

Dane’s film credits include: the 2011 Golden Globe “Best Picture” nominated musical Burlesque alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera; Gary Marshall’s 2010 award-winning feature film Valentine’s Day with a powerful ensemble cast including Jamie Foxx, Taylor Swift, Queen Latifah, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey; and the 2008 adaptation of John Grogan’s bestselling memoir Marley and Me, co-starring alongside Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, and Alan Arkin.

Dane is an activist for social justice, affiliated with organizations such as Artists for Peace and Justice fighting for world peace, Baby2Baby helping impoverished communities, and Milk + Bookies which provides books to children who do not have access to their own literary resources. Global is delighted to have Dane in our corner, helping to advocate for those with Down syndrome.
