2026 Fashion Show Co-Chairs
Edit-Viski-Hanka, Owner, Edit Euro Spa
Born and raised in Hungary, Edit Viski-Hanka came to the United States at age 22 after training professionally as a skincare specialist. She went on to found Edit Euro Spa in Cherry Creek North, not only building a business, but also joining a community where she has known many of her clients for decades.
The warm welcome to Denver and the support she has felt over the years, inspired Edit to give back. The day Edit met Anna Sie, she immediately felt they were kindred spirits and they cherished many years of friendship from that day forward. Edit was deeply moved by the work of the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation, including it support of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. Edit is honored to chair this year’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show.
Edit lives in Denver with her husband, Tamas Viski-Hanka. She is a mother of two and grandmother of three.
Tamas Viski-Hanka, Litigation Attorney
Tamas Viski-Hanka is a practicing trial attorney who has represented clients in complex litigation since 1989. Licensed in both Colorado and Washington, D.C., he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1988 after beginning his professional career as an architectural engineer. Educated in Budapest, Hungary, Tamas worked in Colorado performing structural design and building failure analysis before pursuing a career in law.
Tamas and his wife, Edit came to America in 1978 in search of freedom, and found their home in Colorado due to an unexpected automobile accident on an icy road, which interrupted their journey while traveling to California. What began as an unplanned stop became a lifelong home. Captivated by Colorado’s natural beauty and the warmth of its people, they chose to remain and have built their lives here ever since.
For many years, Tamas and his family have supported the mission of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation through charitable giving. He is honored to serve as Chair of the Be Beautiful Be Yourself event, inspired by the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to advancing research, medical care, education, and advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome.
Tamas and Edit have been married since 1978 and are the proud parents of Alexandra and Maximilian. Alexandra and her husband, Sean, have a daughter, Vivienne. Maximilian and his wife, Samantha, have two children, Zsolti and Franny. Outside of his legal practice, Tamas is an accomplished equestrian and an avid sailor who has enjoyed sailing throughout the world.
What motivated you to Co-Chair this year’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show?
When we met our dearest Anna and John Sie and the Whitten family, and of course our beautiful Sophia many years ago, we were fortunate enough to be invited to our first Fashion Show. We didn’t know what to expect and then we were blown away by the love, the energy, the compassion, and the smiles of the children and adults! It touched us so deeply and at that moment we decided that we wanted to be involved. So, this is truly an honor to be able to participate in this year’s event!
What can we expect at this year’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show?
Since we started going to the Fashion Show, I can honestly say that every year is better and better! Once you get involved, you are never not involved again! I can honestly say that being in this room touches your heart and your soul. So be ready for a life-changing experience!
What about the Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s work inspires you?
It is really hard to just pinpoint one thing. The Global Down Syndrome Foundation and their scientists are the most amazing team of dedicated doctors and researchers who are committing their lives to help ALL children and adults live better and longer with Down syndrome AND through all their findings, improving everyone’s lives.
There are a lot of worthwhile, not-for-profit events and causes. Why should someone support this one?
THIS event IS about improving lives of children. This event is helping a huge part of this segment of society to be fully integrated into everyday lives, getting education, getting total acceptance, having healthier and longer lives! I cannot imagine a better cause than this!
What do you hope for people with Down syndrome and their families in the future?
We wish for all the kids and their families fulfilled, prosperous, healthy, and wonderful lives.
Please share a sentence or two about your life, including what is important to you, and anything else you would like to share with others.
We were fortunate enough to arrive at this beautiful country many many years ago from Hungary, where we were born and raised. We were so warmly welcomed in Colorado – people were reaching out, and they were very supportive of us. I was fortunate enough to use my skill that I learned in Hungary being a skincare specialist and I created a wonderful business that I still practice within even up to today. Tamas was an architect in Hungary, and he wanted to study law and he is feeling so privileged of being able to practice it every single day. We raised our children, Maximilian and Alexandra, in Denver where they had a wonderful childhood. Now they are both married with children, and this is the most important part of our lives to have roots here now and furthering those roots for our grandchildren.
