Guion Macsovits is a fun-loving 18-year-old with a heart as big as his smile. A senior at Cherry Creek High School, he’s set to graduate in May and is known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and the way he naturally makes people feel valued. Whether holding the door between bells, checking in on a friend, or offering a word of encouragement, Guion has a way of making the world a little brighter. His emotional intelligence is off the charts, and he leads with empathy in everything he does.
An athlete who enjoys staying active, Guion plays unified basketball, runs unified track, works out on his own and with his trainer, and hits the lanes for bowling. He loves movement and the camaraderie of sports, bringing his positive energy and team spirit wherever he goes. When he’s not on the court or track, you can find him in the kitchen crafting the perfect smoothie—his signature wellness staple—or exploring the Oculus VR world with curiosity and excitement.
As the oldest of three siblings, Guion is a natural peacemaker, always bringing a sense of balance and warmth to his family. His sense of humor is subtle but well-timed, adding just the right touch of levity to any situation. Loved deeply by his family and friends, he is someone people gravitate toward for his kindness, sincerity, and ability to make others feel at ease.
Guion approaches life with enthusiasm, heart, and an unwavering commitment to those around him. He is curious about the world around him and enjoys exploring new cultures, foods, and people. Whether through sports, connection, or his everyday acts of kindness, he continues to inspire those lucky enough to know him.
As a self-advocate, Guion prides himself on being a role model for anyone wanting to be in shape (just check out his pushups)! He is also the inspiration behind the book, “Guion the Lion”, that carries the message of inclusivity of different ways of interacting with our world.
