Matthew Von der Ahe

Matthew Von Der Ahe is an actor, artist, musician, writer, and advocate for inclusion in the entertainment industry. Audiences first met Matthew through his television work on Weeds (Showtime), Code Black (CBS), Found (NBC), Yo Gabba Gabba! (Nickelodeon), and The Secret Lives of Dorks. He later appeared on the big screen in Champions and will soon be seen in two upcoming films—Wish Watch and One Perfect Date, the latter alongside his Champions co-star Madison Tevlin.

Matthew has also appeared in several short films, including The Odd Taste, CARPS, AWOL, and Loaded for Bear, and has lent his voice to international productions such as Team Chocolate (PBS) and Familia (Netflix and Prime Video).

He is one of the faces of the Easter Seals “Disability Is Not a Dirty Word” 2024–2025 campaign and was recognized by Notre Dame High School as one of their most notable 30 under 30 alumni. Matthew also made history as the first person with Down syndrome invited to participate in Google’s GRID program (Google Rising Influencers with Disabilities).

Matthew is the founder and designer of his own stationery and greeting card company, Doing My pART with the distinction that proceeds from his card sales support charitable organizations that promote inclusion and opportunity for individuals with disabilities.

A passionate storyteller, Matthew co-directed and wrote an original short for the Easter Seals Disability Film Challenge. He continues to train in acting, improv, and dance, and performs internationally with a dance troupe that recently appeared with the Royal Ballet in London, with upcoming performances planned in New York and Japan.
