2018 Fashion Show Co-Chairs

Why did you accept the challenge to be chair of the 2018 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show?

“It is a wonderful honor to co-chair this year’s event, and for us, the idea of legacy plays a role. Both our mother’s have been involved with Global Down Syndrome Foundation since the beginning, and we felt that this opportunity was a fantastic way to extend their efforts, and increase our own efforts towards this significant cause.”

What can we expect at this year’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show?

“The 2018 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show will be a fantastic celebration filled with an all-encompassing love. The event bursts with positive energy, incredible entertainment, all shared with a supportive community.”

What about the Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s work inspires you?

“The Sie family radiates inspiration to become involved in this cause, because of their passion and determination to improve people’s lives with Down syndrome. Their approach is comprehensive, with focuses on research, medical care, education, advocacy, and even legislative change.”

There are a lot of worthwhile, not-for-profit events and causes. Why should someone support Global’s mission and our fashion show over one of those events and causes?

“When you work with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, you meet an incredibly enthusiastic group of people. There are a lot of “pros” involved, including both staff, and volunteers that make this organization so successful and worthwhile to be a part of.”

Please share a sentence or two about your life, including what is important to you, and anything else you would like to share with others.

Brittany: “I was born and raised in Denver. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
I believe the impact of sports can transcend far beyond the playing field, court or rink. I am confident that athletics can be a catalyst for positive change in the community through the platforms and opportunities it provides. Away from work, I enjoy skiing the Rocky Mountains with my family, enjoying Washington Park, and teaching figure skating for Special Olympics at the University of Denver.”

Kacey: “I was also born and raised in Denver, a University of Denver Alumni, and a Real Estate Broker at LIV Sotheby’s International Realty. Life is too short, so increasing the quality of lives when possible is an incredible opportunity. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends (including Brittany!)”
