Why did you accept the challenge to be chair of the 2017 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show?
“It is a great honor to be able to participate with energized, passionate advocates with Down syndrome. Being the chair of this years Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion show, gives me a chance to lead such a passionate event with honor to the Sie Foundation and Family.”
What can we expect at this year’s Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show?
“It truly will be a celebration of energy, fashion, art and food with families and friends. Everyone is a “celebrity” that evening sharing their own hearts and souls.”
What about the Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s work inspires you?
“The foundation is far reaching in its research, participation, and leadership with individuals with Down syndrome; but also with ground breaking developments associated with the direct connection between Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s Disease.”
There are a lot of worthwhile, not-for-profit events and causes. Why should someone support Global’s mission and our fashion show over one of those events and causes?
“It is not about selecting one philanthropic opportunity, over another, rather it is about reaching for the energy and creativity for our advocates with Down syndrome. It is a dynamic “spring board” for worldwide awareness of actions for people with Down syndrome.”
Please share a sentence or two about your life, including what is important to you, and anything else you would like to share with others.
“My life…. Well I can say I have been blessed by passionate people, mom, dad, grandparents, brothers, aunts. Being Italian decent, embraced by Denver, my journey took me from a small town in NY to Boston, to Denver, Colorado. I am who I am by being loved and giving love.”
